The short version
Snel's core training is free. Snel Pro is an optional paid subscription (€9.99/month or €59/year, €49/year for founding members). Don't abuse the service. Your training data is yours. We're not liable if you get injured. Listen to your body and consult a doctor for medical advice.
1. Who We Are
Snel is a product of Isola Digital B.V., registered at Hoenderkamp 20, 7812 VZ, Emmen, The Netherlands. Contact: legal@getsnel.com.
These terms govern your use of the Snel app (iOS, Android) and website (getsnel.com).
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Snel ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.
3. Description of Service
Snel is an adaptive running training application that generates personalised training plans, calculates training zones, and adapts plans based on user feedback. The Service is available on iOS and Android. The core training engine is free. Snel Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features including deep integrations (Strava, Garmin, Apple Health), advanced analytics, automatic VO2max recalibration, injury prevention alerts, and coach personality options.
3a. Snel Pro Subscriptions
Pricing. Snel Pro is offered at €9.99/month or €59/year. Founding members (first 1,000 email-confirmed users) lock in a reduced annual rate of €49/year, which remains available for as long as the subscription stays active without interruption.
Free trial. New subscribers receive a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will auto-convert to a paid subscription at the selected tier.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. You may cancel at any time from the Profile screen in the Snel app, from the App Store or Play Store on mobile, or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then.
Refunds. Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the platform where the subscription was purchased (Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe). For EU consumers, statutory withdrawal rights apply where applicable.
Price changes. We may adjust Snel Pro pricing for new subscriptions at any time. Existing active subscriptions continue at their original rate (including the founding-member €49/year rate) as long as the subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and re-subscribe, current pricing applies.
4. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (in accordance with Dutch law). One person per account. Accounts are not transferable.

You retain ownership of all data you submit to Snel, including your profile information, training logs, and feedback. You grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
7. Health & Safety Disclaimer
Important: Snel provides training guidance based on established sport science principles. It is not a medical device, health monitoring tool, or substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a physician before starting a new training program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions. Listen to your body and stop exercising if you experience pain, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Snel name, logo, and visual design of the app and website are proprietary and may not be used without permission. The VO2max training methodology is based on publicly available sport science research by Jack Daniels and is used for educational purposes.
9. Service Availability
We aim to keep Snel available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. Your training plan is cached locally on your device for offline access.
10. Limitation of Liability
Snel is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by Dutch law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including injuries, lost training data, or missed race targets. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence (grove schuld), intentional misconduct (opzet), or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch law.
11. Right of Withdrawal
As Snel's core service is free, the EU right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU does not apply to the free tier. If we introduce paid features (Snel Pro), you will have a 14-day withdrawal period from the date of purchase. During this period, you may cancel for a full refund unless you have explicitly consented to waive this right and the digital content has been fully delivered.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, after providing reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are an EU consumer, you also retain the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands.
The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are willing to participate in out-of-court dispute resolution procedures.
14. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
